Beautiful Vinyl Flooring Installations for a Unique New Look

Vinyl flooring is becoming more and more popular as the flooring choice amongst homeowners. There are three different styles of product which include Luxury Vinyl Plank, Luxury Vinyl Tile, & Roll Vinyl.  There are two different types of installation processes for Vinyl products, Glue-down & Lock-n-Fold/Floating.  Moore Floor Covering specializes in both types of installation. We would recommend Glue-down in a rental unit situation or over any concrete floor due to the durability and ease of repairs.  Many of the Lock-n-Fold/Floating products we carry are popular in brand new homes due to the wide variety of colors, being waterproof, & extremely durable.

Tips for Damage Prevention

The last thing you want to have is damage to your freshly installed floor. While Moore Floor Covering loves business, the last thing we want is for your investment to go unnoticed. Keep your floor looking new and beautiful longer with the following tips.

  • Protective layers can be placed on the floor for protection when moving heavy appliances or other pieces of furniture such as wooden boards, bed sheets or carpet. This will help prevent scuffs, dents or at worst, complete tears.

  • Rolling chairs or other pieces of furniture with little wheels can leave small floor prints and sometimes small dents, depending on the weight it is carrying. Having a rug, carpet or chair mat can help protect your vinyl floor from damage.

What’s the Difference Between Standard Vinyl & Luxury Vinyl?

  • Standard vinyl flooring is either sold in square tiles or flexible sheets and have a thin layer of felt of fiberglass on the backing that is bonded to the vinyl. The color, pattern and texture are printed on the vinyl layer then covered with a thin transparent coating.

  • Luxury vinyl tile has between six to eight layers of material, making it a much thicker type of flooring. Because of this, it is typically sold in planks or tiles. In addition to the same layers provided by standard vinyl flooring, LVT has a layer of cushion foam for comfort and a PVC backing for increased strength and durability.
